What will you do with all that money?
Many clients and friends saw exponential offering this week. Some took in 20% of their annual revenue in a single week (something I predict and promote). So what will you do with all that?
Money is the easier thing to come by in church compared to these things:
Discipline to save it and then invest it in the right places, not just “catch up” on bills. That’s not why people sell out and bring their best to your church.
Discernment to know what to say and when about what happened and why.
Direction for where and how you’ll lead the church in light of an influx you didn’t plan for… or is larger than you planned for.
Decisiveness to move, act, correct, and even speed up. The rookies and immature will see this influx in money as a reason to settle and slow down. Nope!
As I write this, I’ve heard from a few people who saw substantial wins with their year end offering yesterday (Sunday, Dec 8).
One client saw 20% of their annual revenue in a single day. It was the largest offering in their decade-long history. They were quite leery of using me but had reached this sort of “well what do we have to lose” sort of place in their minds. So… at least I earned my coaching fee by helping them bring in 10x IN A DAY what they’re paying me over 6 months. :) Seems like a win to me. HA!
One client had their 3 record year-end offering in a row. 3 years straight of YoY increase. And not just total amount but the types of gifts he’s receiving indicates substantial trust in him as a leader and them as a church.
One subscriber here let me know he just did some basic stuff I said on this SwebbStack series (read them all) and saw nearly double what they did last year.
Yes, yes, yes it’s God and you and the people in your church. Blah blah blah… I’m not the Holy Spirit making people give. That’s not how it works or He works. And I’m not claiming that. But sweet Moses, how many times do you have to see people predictably hit record offerings before you just say “Frick, ok, teach me.” HAHA!!
So what’s next? Here’s what you need to consider immediately after your offering weekend:
