Lower the average age of [x] team by [x] percentage.

Lower the average age of your leadership by [x] percentage.

“Wow, Swebb, you’re ageist.”

Yep.

The age creep is real.
Slowly but surely the average age of
all teams creeps upward.

You age and you connect better with or are more comfortable with people who age with you. You used to talk to 19 year olds and now they’re young marrieds at 25. Then you start connecting with parents. Then parents of middle schoolers. Then you’re 60+ leading a greeter team, complaining you can’t find more leaders and that the younger people just aren’t signing up to your team.

It’s as sure as gravity. It does happen. Everywhere! You’re not immune to it.

Instead you can train to fight it.
