The THIRD Investment Meeting
As I said before, plan 3 meetings simultaneously so they build on each other. Now we've at the last of 3 and ready to start building out the church.
Meeting Three - Build It
As is the case with the last two, I’m still teaching on a value, reinforcing specific engagement points, reinforcing expectations, reminding people of our journey, and generally closing up gaps that open over time.
The main differences with this third meeting for me are:
I’m tracking who came to ALL 3 meetings. Those are my builders. Those are the people who are very clearly “in” on this thing. I know life circumstances come around but these people made all 3 meetings regardless of sickness, work, traffic, kids, etc…. That’s substantial to me!
I’m tracking who came to the first and third meeting. While this logic isn’t flawless, seeing who came to first and third meetings shows me who has some level of resilience. Maybe someone was offended or nervous after the first week but fought back into alignment and came to finish strong. I pay attention to that and I go talk to them specifically.
I’m tracking who brought others into the mix. By the third meeting you have more “new” people. Many of the first-week people fell off quick and that’s ok. But the third meeting people know just about everything going on, even if this is their first meeting, and are with you for a reason.
And at the end of this meeting, I’m sending people out into specific roles, with responsibilities, with deliverables, and on timelines. This meeting ends with us building out the start of the church services. No more “testing the waters”or “hearing the vision.” That’s all done. From now on, anyone who needs vision or testing can get that on the way from the leaders you mined for and activate in this meetings.
