The FIRST Investment Meeting
As I said before, plan 3 meetings simultaneously so they build on each other. Here's my first meeting - logic, expectations, and content.
Meeting one - Introduction and Invitation
You’re essentially saying to the community “We’re doing this and you’re invited. And more than that, you’d be crazy not to jump on board with this.”
The number one value of your church should be what [you] teach on. (Someone ask me who “you” is.) I also use a metaphor from the Bible that will be a staple example (aka mental model) of our guest experience culture.
How you engage guests will be what is felt first and remembered most. Yep, far longer than the preaching or kids ministry. So I start with that.
This is a foundational meeting so what I pitch, say, expect, teach, promote, and reinforce in this meeting will be the standard and will set the tone.
