Quit Week - But how do you know when?

Quit Week - But how do you know when?

The biggest question every time is "But how do you know when it's time to move on?" Good question ... but maybe I'll give you another way to think about it... in a 5 Things list.

Quit Week - But how do you know when?

It’s a good question. But why the negative angle?

For example, why don’t people say “But how do you know it’s time to stay?”
Try that one instead.

Usually it’s simple: More people live with a scarcity mindset than an abundance mindset. They think in terms of having “more to lose” instead of “more to work with.” I know multiple churches and pastors operating with a “more to lose” mindset now… running less people than they were 5 years ago. It’s a classic big church thing. Which, funny to me, seems to be the opposite of all we hear preached at those churches.

And of course few would admit that. We love to argue that “I’m just being wise” or “I don’t want to make a rash decision.” And to those points, I agree. As I said yesterday, don’t be the quitter who runs away from anything hard and use “God said” as the reason. That’s too common as well, just like quit-and-stays.

So how do you know? What questions do you ask? What feelings do you pay attention to? Do you just put up a poll on Instagram? (No, don’t do that one.)

Well here’s the video for it.
