Aviation and Leadership - a Series

I am (or was, or can be again) a pilot. So let's talk about leadership in that context.

I know nearly every pastor loves to say “We’re building the airplane in flight.” Well, stop it. Stop saying it. Stop it now! For all of us. It’s stupid.

Or at least tell us when you’ll be done building it then. Or when you’ll land and let everyone off the chaotic ride you have them on. Geez, that metaphor has to die!

Anyway, I know what it’s like to fly planes. With one engine, two, a new plane, or those old kind held together with tape. Literally. And there are so many parallels to church and leadership. So … let’s do a series on it.
