Are Your Volunteer Events Actually Worth Attending?
Churches love a good volunteer event. I've been to them on 5 continents and few do them well. So... a few considerations for you...
Churches love a good volunteer event. They gather everyone, cast vision (whatever that means anymore), give out some awards, throw in a little worship, and cap it off with some teaching. Sounds good, right? Except… most of these events are too long, too predictable, and too sloppy.
They feel more like an obligation than a celebration.
If you’re planning a volunteer event, stop and ask the right questions before you just copy what you did last time. Here are a few worth considering:
