A month into working with a personal trainer, I’ve realized something: the biggest gains come from the smallest movements.

No ego lifts, no highlight-reel workouts—just disciplined, precise effort on the things that feel insignificant but matter most. No heavy deadlifts or crazy sprints—just slow, intentional work on tiny stabilizing muscles. It’s humbling. It’s also exactly how leadership works.

Most leaders chase momentum, growth, and success—but they resist the slow, unglamorous work that actually builds those things.

Just like in fitness, skipping foundational training leads to long-term weakness. Just like in fitness, shortcuts in leadership lead to weakness.
