5 THINGS I’D DO IF STARTING ANOTHER CAMPUS
I started 9, instigated 13, served 20, and consulted 134. But this is not an exhaustive list of “things,” just an appetizer. I’m saying out loud: multisite is simple, overthinking it is hard.
Decide on the leader before publicly committing to a city/area.
People follow and leave people, not map points. You are hoping to reach people, not visit another town. So you need a competent, committed, driven, self-starting, self-aware warrior to go take the hill.
They need to want the hill, not want a job.
And they need to be compensated and resourced for what you’re asking of them. Promising a location and/or timeline before a leader takes all the control from you and immediately starts to lower standards.
Determine and write down what are the 5 (only 5) non-negotiable elements of the church that must exist at all locations.
